4th of July Trifle - Easiest Recipe Ever
How can this gorgeous recipe be yours? How can you impress all of your guests for the 4th of July? I promise you, it’s totally easy. My good friend Sheri McShane sent me this recipe for the 4th of July and it’s adorable! Sheri is amazing when it comes to creating recipes because she’s a busy mom of 3 and knows that time is of the essence. She can’t be slaving away in the kitchen for hours, she needs it to be quick and easy!
I love when Sheri sends me recipes that are doable and practical for busy moms and dads. I also love when she shares recipes that look like they come out of the pages of Martha Stewart! That excites me so much because I love desserts that just look fabulous, especially when you’re celebrating something as special as the 4th of July. When it comes to the 4th of July, I also love 4th of July outfits, interesting facts about the 4th of July and cute Fourth of July shirts.
This 4th of July Trifle is where its at for the 4th of July! I’m pumped for you to try it out and let me know what you think. I’m laying out all of the easy ingredients for you below! As you can see from below, so many ingredients are easy right from the store. I love how easy it is to grab and go with these items! I’m all about the store bought cake, how easy is that for moms and dads out there?
Ingredients 4th of July Trifle :
4th of July Trifle - Easiest Recipe Ever
  • Store-bought pound cake or angel food cake (my problem is that I might eat 1/2 the cake before I get started!)
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Store-bought or homemade whipped cream
  • Sprinkles
  • *Feel free to use ANY fruits that work with the red, white and blue theme.

Step by Step Instructions 4th of July Trifle:

(I could take a bite right now! OMG!)

  1. Slice strawberries and cube the cake slices up. Make sure the cubes are small enough to fit in a jar.
  2. Prepare whipped cream if making from scratch. If you’re like me you will buy it, but you can always make it from scratch if you’re feeling it!
  3. Simply layer cake, whipped cream, berries, and top with whipped cream and sprinkles. This is the easy and the fun part. Just keep adding the layers back and forth.

My personal advice if you’re having this for a 4th of July party is to invest in some clear bowls or grab some mason jars. You can grab some jars at the dollar store. They made for a really cute presentation. I think it always goes that extra mile when you have something that not only tastes great, but looks great, too. You want someone to be excited to eat it! I always appreciate a cool looking 4th of July dessert. Makes for a fun party!
