Running Late Hairstyles

Let’s face it – we all run late at some point in our lives. With 5 kids I feel like it’s a perpetual theme in my house, but that doesn’t mean I can’t “try” to look my best. I’m sharing some running late hairstyles today with you for days when you don’t think you have time to do anything with your hair. You do!

Running Late Hairstyles

running late hairstyles

I’ve always had some running late hairstyles on reserve for days where I know I’m short on time. These are the days when I know I don’t have time to curl my hair or wave my hair. These are even the days when I know I don’t have time to straighten my hair.

There are days when I have less than 5 minutes to myself in the mirror in the bathroom and I have to somehow pull myself together. I wanted to share this with other moms out there who have this same (ahem) problem, too. There are certain hairstyles that are super easy and quick to do (and look really good, too!).

These running late hairstyles aren’t just for moms when long hair. You can make these work with medium length and even short hair, too. Just take a look at the styles I’m sharing and modify them as you see fit. When I’m doing hairstyles on myself, I try to keep in mind that women have different lengths of hair.

Easy Hairstyles for Moms

This first video showcases (3) simple hairstyles that you can do with your bangs. The reason I wanted to kick off with this video for running late hairstyles is that you can really make these work with any length of hair. All you need is a bobby pin and a brush to make these work.

Here’s a cute hairstyle for anyone looking for some braid styles. This is a boho-inspired look that works for anyone (at any age). I’m obsessed with these running late hairstyles because they’re just fast and furious. If you can do a 3 strand braid, you can do this one.

This is a quick one, but doesn’t look like a hard one. As long as you can flip a ponytail, you can make it work. These are running late hairstyles that are super chic and definitely perfect for anyone to have on hand for mornings short on time.

I’m a big lover of braids, so this would be a great hairstyle for you to do on the fly. The only hang up for this is that you need to do a 3 strand braid. You need to make sure you can do this basic hair skill before moving forward with this one. I love this because it’s just a chic style to toss together and look fabulous.

Another easy one for you to try and pull together is this fabulous flip. I love this one because it’s also an easy one to create on a crazy busy day when you just don’t have much time. This is one that I love to do on my own hair and my daughter’s, too. This is one of those styles that you will have on repeat.

I hope you enjoy these hairstyles that are super easy for you to do when your running late. These running late hairstyles are perfect for the days you need them.

BRUSH – Make sure you have an amazing brush for your child’s hair. The thing with brushes is that depending on the texture of your child’s hair, it depends on the brush you’ll need. I recommend this Olivia Garden Round Brush with ionic and boars bristles. It works amazing to get out tangles and snarls.

Conditioning Mist – You need to have a good product that can keep your child’s hair smooth and tangle-free. I’m obsessed with Pantene’s Conditioning Mist. It’s like a magic spray. I don’t know what formula is inside of it, but whatever it is – it works like a charm on Victoria’s hair.

Small Elastic Bands – These are one of the best things to have on hand because many times you’re using bulkier elastics and it’s tough to keep them in place in the hair. This way your hair can have smaller elastics. You can find about 500 for $5! Check out these elastics that we use.

Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream – I love this product!
