Are you ready for October? I’ve got an October To Do List that’s just for YOU. October is that perfect month to give something back to yourself after a long summer and as we’re gearing up for the holidays ahead. Hoping that these 31 days of self care for you will help you roll through October in a relaxed way!

I started creating monthly self care challenges years ago on the blog because it’s important to make sure you’re taking time for yourself (at least once a day). As a moms we don’t always take time for ourselves. Maybe we do here and there, but not enough. I want this October To Do List to be your one thing you do for you a day.

Not every single “self care tip” on this chart will work for you and that’s OK! My hope is that you will read through each day and if it works for you, do it. If it doesn’t work for you, think of something else that you know you will love. October self care is important to bring into your life.

When you’re also looking through this list, I want you to think about things in October that make you happy. It’s a beautiful time of year (wherever you live!). There’s something about pumpkins and apples and hayrides and just enjoying the festivities that come along with October! Think of all the fun things to do in October that you can bring into your October To Do List (for YOU!).

As you can tell many of the days have you getting out of your house to do something! There’s just something about October where you should be outside! You don’t want to be cooped up (especially after all these months) if you don’t have to be. It’s just a great time to enjoy the beauty around you and think about what brings you JOY.

Self care is all about knowing what makes you the happiest and most content and peaceful in life. Maybe it’s as simple as reading your horoscope for the day. Maybe it’s as easy as grabbing your go to coffee for the day. Maybe it’s as easy as your morning working.

Whatever it is that makes you happy, add those things to your October To Do List. Remember what these things are and keep bringing them into your life. I know it’s something that I’ve had to get better at through the years because my life revolves around my kids’ lives. The good thing is that it’s OK to take care of YOU!

In order for you to be the best version of yourself for your family, friends and colleagues… you need to take care of yourself. You don’t want to walk around stressed and overwhelmed. You want to make sure you’re taking those moments each day to be at peace for you. This is what I love about these fun things to do in October for YOU, each one requires you to do something.

You need to STOP and intentionally do something for yourself and there’s something really powerful and important about that action in life. You need to actually put yourself first every single day (for a few minutes at the very least!) for your self care. Pretty cool, right? When was the last time you really did this for yourself?

Embrace October in a way that you’ve never embraced it before! Do as much as you can for yourself when you can. It’s not being selfish, it’s the opposite. It’s being caring and tender to your body, mind and soul. We make sure everyone in our lives are calm and relaxed and not stressed – do the same for you. It’s OK to do that!
