There is so much in the world right now that’s going on that it’s almost difficult to see straight sometimes. Starting this week I will be homeschooling my 5 kids while they’re doing distant learning. My youngest is in 1st grade and it’s going to be an adjustment for her. She loves math, so I started looking for addition worksheets for grade 1 because I know she would love dong them.

I wanted to make sure I found some fun ones with cute little drawings on them, too. I know my daughter gets such a kick out of graphics on the pages. It’s always adorable to see how excited she gets about what’s on the worksheets.
I thought it would be fun to create one for Victoria on my own, too! She LOVES fish, so I used fish as the graphic for her. I wanted to create simple equations, nothing over the sum of 10. I know that 1st grade math is a little beyond just the sum of what add up to 10, but I wanted to make sure that I gave her so easy ones that she could do on her own.

I scoured online to find some amazing addition worksheets for grade 1. The best is that there are so many resources out there for moms and dads to find for their kids. I love that you can divvy worksheets out by grade. I think that’s the best because you can tailor the addition worksheets towards which grade you need them.
