Permission to Hustle Retreat with Disney World: What to Expect

Our Permission to Hustle Retreat with Disney World kicks off next week on August 29th and goes through the 31st! To say that I’m excited is an understatement. I simply can’t wait. This has been in the planning stages for months and months and months. When we first pitched Disney over a year ago it was truly a dream pitch that we put together, so the fact that it’s actually happening and almost here is very exciting.

Permission to Hustle Retreat with Disney World: What to Expect

If you’re not familiar with our Permission to Hustle Retreats that Vera Sweeney and I kicked off last year, let me give you a quick idea of what they’re all about! We started a Facebook Group back in January of 2017 to bring together like-minded women who all have a hustle, dream and drive to go after their passions. We felt like there was a space needed on Facebook for all women with a hustle, not just women who were digital influencers. We created Permission to Hustle to be a place to serve up inspiration, motivation and advice every single day online. It truly started as a passion project because it was something we craved online and it just morphed into something much bigger.

Audrey McClelland and Vera Sweeney

Fast forward to present day – we have over 4200 people in our Permission to Hustle Facebook group, a majority of them women (close to 95%) – and we post every single day encouraging everyone to keep pushing forward on their hustles. We post in the group, we have a Permission to Hustle podcast and we created Permission to Hustle Retreats last year. We began to get requests from women asking if we could do meet-ups or a conference. We knew we didn’t want to do a mass scale conference because we felt the “secret to the sauce” of a retreat is the smaller size. We decided to give a retreat a go last year with 40 women and we were thrilled with the experience. Bringing women together to learn, share, communicate, inspire and have FUN together was the secret in the sauce for us and we knew knew knew that we wanted to create more and more of these.

Permission to Hustle Retreat with Disney World is our next one! This spot is extra special for us because this is where Vera and I met 10 years ago at a blogging conference. We happened to be sitting next to each other and literally a business was born right then and there. It was kismet, so Disney World has always held an extra piece of magic for us.

So what can you expect from the Permission to Hustle Retreat with Disney World?

Lots of fun experiences and magic! That’s for sure!

Since we’ve partnered with Disney World for this one, they are bringing and giving our 20 PTH ladies access to some pretty incredible experiences. We would love for you to follow along during the PTH Retreat at home, too! We will be sharing information about the Disney Parks and also sharing information learned during the Retreat sessions. What do they have planned for us? We will be experiencing Epcot Food & Wine Festival, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and checking out Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

The Epcot Food & Wine Fest is a culinary mashup of global cultures and gourmet innovation that brings irresistible bites, sips, entertainment & family fun! This year, the celebrated summer-into-fall festival at Walt Disney World Resort will add a dozen extra days, expanding the foodie celebration to a delicious 87 days. Guests can begin with the aromas and flavors of 30 festive global food and wine marketplaces that extend from Future World to encircle the World Showcase promenade. #TasteEpcot

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is an amazing Halloween celebration! BOO-k your ticket now for this frightfully festive event that returns starting today (August 16th) and will run through November 1, 2019! Get your favorite costume ready and make your plans to live it up—collecting candies, sweets and delightful treats! #NotSoScary

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is an All-New Land, which opens August 29, 2019! Live out your own Star Wars story, fly the Millennium Falcon and explore a remote outpost where adventure awaits. #GalaxysEdge

Cecelia Mecca discussing the Indie Publishing World

Cecelia Mecca

Cecelia Mecca is the author of historical romance writing as C.L. Mecca for paranormal.

Every heroine, from Lady Sara in the Border Series to Alessandra Fiore in Bloodwite, is your best friend– the one who kicks ass and takes names. When these ladies meet alpha-males who try to take control, sparks fly until the very last page.

Cecelia writes the bestselling Border Series which takes readers to an admittedly romanticized time of knights and castles along the 13th century Anglo-Scottish border.

More recently, she’s been dealing with the ultimate bad boys– sexy, wealthy and swoon-worthy vampires– a venture not for the faint of heart. Her debut paranormal romance series, Bloodwite, released in January 2019.

Our Highlander-loving, vampire-writing author can be found in Northeast, Pennsylvania, chai in hand, thinking up new ways to tame both medieval and paranormal playboys. She is firmly House Stark and Gryffindor.

We also want to thank 2 of our sponsors who will be providing some yummy goodies for our attendees in their goodie bags: GoGo squeeZ® and Perdue®.

GoGo squeeZ®, the leading brand of 100 percent fruit in a pouch and the Official Applesauce of Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort is proud to be a sponsor of the first Permission to Hustle Disney event! Since its launch in June 2008, GoGo squeeZ has been committed to providing families with all-natural on-the-go snacks. GoGo squeeZ® is a sponsor of the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World Resort. Additionally, GoGo squeeZ® is the presenting sponsor of all the runDisney Kids Races! At GoGo squeeZ, our mission is to make it easier for families on-the-go to be healthier and happier.

Perdue® is preparing to celebrate our 100th anniversary in 2020! As we approach our centennial, we are going back to the basics with how we raise our animals, including free-range chicken farming. Additionally, we’re leading the way in raising healthy animals without antibiotics and setting new standards for animal care. We also strongly believe that it’s time for a back-to-basics approach to consumer marketing through grassroots word-of-mouth messaging and partnering with the powerful voice of influencers. We’re realizing what’s old is new again in marketing, and we’d love to partner with influencers to help consumers understand our commitment to remain a family owned business with the most trusted name in premium proteins.
