I love having a dinner date night with my husband each week. It’s such a wonderful time to just “be” alone with him and catch up on everything and anything going on. We love talking about the kids and work and what’s coming up in our lives. It’s just a really nice time to relax together and enjoy a wonderful meal. We recently went to Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in Providence, RI for their Chef’s Table dining experience.
Dinner Date Night: Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar Chef’s Table
If you’ve never dined at the Providence, RI location, you must add it to your must-do’s on the dining experience front on your next dinner date night! Providence Fleming’s is located on the ground floor of The Residence Tower attached to the Omni Hotel near Trinity Rep, the Dunkin’ Donuts Center and the Providence Performing Arts Center. Whether you’re celebrating, dining with business clients or want a night out with friends, we have created the perfect ambiance with a menu filled with your favorites and a local chef’s table that changes with the season, or whenever we feel inspired by our ingredients. Our bar is always open and our wine manager has curated a wide selection of locally selected wines, hand-crafted cocktails and spirits. Need a more private space? We are HUGE lovers of dining on the Chef’s Table menu because it’s an opportunity for Fleming’s Chefs to showcase their culinary expertise while pleasing guests with a menu filled with innovative local offerings and regional tastes. It’s a menu inspired by culinary influence and seasonal ingredients that you can only experience at Providence Fleming’s Steakhouse.
I’m telling you right now, the dining that we experience on Chef Almanzo’s Menu was just extraordinary for our dinner date night. I look forward to seeing what he’s created seasonally for the guests. It’s something that I can’t wait to try out! Honestly – you bite into a meal that just transforms your palette and it’s beyond anything.
Let me share with you about Chef’s Menu first, then I’ll share about Uncorked. We had the opportunity to experience both last week and I can’t recommend both enough! You will be dazzled by the experience.
Chef Almanzo’s Table
About Chef Almanzo: Originally from Long Island with a Portuguese and Dutch background, Chef Almanzo channels the multicultural influences encountered throughout his personal life and career into ever-evolving inspiration for the dishes on his Chef’s Table. Starting as a dishwasher at a local, family-owned Italian restaurant, Chef Almanzo quickly discovered his passion for cooking, rising through the ranks to cook alongside the head chef. From his first experiences with traditional Italian cooking to the Latin flavors explored during his time at culinary school in Miami, Chef Almanzo aims to expand his palate, push creative boundaries, and prioritize collaboration with each and every dish. His Chef’s Table – featuring such dishes as the Pan Roasted Snapper – is inspired by seasonal ingredients, local culture, and ideas from his sous chefs and associates. This balance of inspired collaboration and bold innovation has been characteristic of Chef Almanzo’s career.
Each plate impressed me more and more. I couldn’t believe how gorgeous AND delicious each plate was as we went along. You could easily tell the passion and love that went into each and every plate.
The other delightful experience we had while at Fleming’s Providence was Summer Uncorked. I’m a wine lover, so for me – this was a huge treat! If you’re a wine lover, this is an experience you’ll want to try out. You will enjoy the pairings with the foods and really take the time to enjoy each glass. I really fell in love with the DECOY, Sauvignon Blanc Sonoma County, it was outstanding.
I’ve said it before and I will say it again, there are so many reasons to head to Fleming’s! If you’re looking for a fabulous meal or a romantic dinner date night, this is the place to go! I loved being able to just relax in a quiet and beautiful setting.

Join us every Monday to enjoy an enticing 3-course menu that includes our buttery Filet Mignon and sweet Cold-Water Lobster.
The Sunday Table
Join us for your choice of Caesar or Fleming’s Salad, Slow-Roasted Beef Tenderloin atop mashed potatoes, and a choice of Crème Brûlée, Carrot Cake or Key Lime Pie for dessert.
