What to Wear to a Baby Shower

I don’t know what’s in the water, but I have 4 baby showers in the next 2 months that I will be attending! I love a beautiful baby shower because it’s such a wonderful and special way to honor the mama-to-be and the baby-to-be! It’s always so much fun to go and just have a great time! I’ve noticed that lots of people are talking online about What to Wear to a Baby Shower. It’s one of those things where you don’t want to be too fancy, but you also don’t want to look like you don’t care what you’re wearing. Am I right? You really want to make sure you have the perfect and appropriate go-to outfit for a baby shower!

What to Wear to a Baby Shower

When I had my baby shower 15 years ago with my William, we had a tea party theme. Everyone was asked to come dressed like they were going to a tea party. The outfits were gorgeous. Very elegant. Very classic. Very beautiful. I wanted to give everyone a “theme” so to speak because I know that many people wonder and ask about what to wear to a baby shower. It’s an event that is very meaningful for the mom-to-be and so you want to make sure you’re dressed for the occasion properly and beautifully. Even with my baby sprinkle for Victoria, I wanted people to come dressed feeling comfortable for themselves. We had it at a beautiful location, so I feel like people saw where it was being held and just dressed accordingly. Everyone came looking beautiful!

With the baby showers that I have coming up over the next coupe of months, I’m able to bring my Victoria. So I’m dressing for 2! This is what it comes down to when you’re trying to think about what to wear to a baby shower:

1. You want to dress elegantly for the special mama-to-be.

2. You want to make sure you’re comfortable.

3. It’s not a wedding – so you don’t have to go over the top, but you’re also not just meeting a friend for lunch.

4. You want to make sure you’re wearing something classic and timeless.

5. You want to make sure whatever you wear, you could easily wear it again (especially if you’re buying something new for the occasion).

What to Wear to a Baby Shower

Victoria and I just recently had some fun with some Boden clothing and we fell in love with it! The selections and the styles are phenomenal and beautiful and classic and elegant. Boden really offers styles that make you feel pretty.  Actually – I love their mantra for their clothing, “Our sweet spot is our ability to merge fun and style.” It doesn’t get much better than that, especially when you stop and think about what we’re talking about right now… a baby shower!! An event brimming with fun and style! I love that Boden delivers exactly what it is that you’re looking for when it comes to finding the perfect item to wear to your occasion!

Our looks are from Boden and I feel FABULOUS in it with my girl!! I feel like it’s the best kind of look for a baby shower because it’s just a classic look. It’s warm here, so I don’t want to wear anything too heavy. I love dressing up shorts, it’s such a fun and easy and effortless look. What are we wearing? I’m outlining everything below:

What to wear to a Baby Shower (on Audrey)…

Meet The Linen Shirt: your relaxed wardrobe staple in a lightweight fabric for a breezy fit. Washed for extra softness, it features double patch pockets, a dipped back hem and an inverted back pleat. Look to the embroidered, lurex stripe or fil coupé for a textured finish. Choose either a regular or longer length and then tuck into chinos for a book-smart look or team with your jeans for laid-back chic.

Meet Tropical Shorts: A tropical adventure calls for a piña colada and these embroidered pineapple shorts. They’re made from lightweight linen so they’ll still look sharp when they come out of your suitcase. The waistband creates a flattering shape – just add sunglasses, a sandy beach and an umbrella.

Pineapple Dress: Look out sun, here we come. This happy-go-lucky dress is all about feeling good, with its contrasting textures, lightweight fabric and floaty tiers. In fact, we’re pretty sure the full skirt is impossible not to twirl in. Lace trims and the shimmering pineapples on the white option make this a firm favourite when the holidays (finally) roll around.

I’m obsessed with these looks because they really are just the best kind of looks and styles to wear out and about! I love that you can find looks that work for so many different occasions. I’m all about trying to find places that I can shop from that work for my lifestyle and Boden truly does! They have exceptional clothing and accessories! You need to check out their bathing suits, too! I’m all over them for the mamas out there! Gorgeous styles and fantastic selections! They work for a woman’s body, which is exactly what you need when it comes to bathing suit season.

This is what I wore to my baby shower for Victoria!

I’m loving being able to share some of my favorite what to wear posts over here with you! I’m always asked about what to wear, so I thought it would be fun to share all of my what to wear stories here! What to Wear Running, What to Wear to a Spray Tan, What to Wear to Pure Barre, etc!
