Iced Coffee Day on May 22nd with Dunkin’ – Join IN on the FUN!

There are 2 things that I love and simply can’t live without every single morning – coffee and Dunkin’. It’s pretty much that easy for me. If I have these 2 things, my day is going to be a great day! You should see me when I’m away for work, I literally stalk the area for a Dunkin’, I’m that kind of obsessed and serious about my coffee. Every single year- right around this time – Dunkin’ does something amazing that I love to share and love to be part of with my family.

Iced Coffee Day.

Iced Coffee Day

It’s not just a day that I love because I love Iced Coffee.

It’s a special day because of what actually happens on Iced Coffee Day.

On May 22nd – Iced Coffee Day will continue to be an annual local Dunkin’ initiative to support Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Rhode Island. That’s right — for every Iced Coffee sold at Dunkin’ locations in Rhode Island and Bristol County, Massachusetts, Dunkin’ franchisees in the area will donate $1 to the Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Rhode Island.

Pretty amazing, right?

This incredible annual event has helped raise well over $2 million since its inception in 2010. I mean – just stop and think about that for a second. $2 million since its inception. All for YOU buying an Iced Coffee on Iced Coffee Day. I simply love that an act so simple can truly make such a big impact.

Good Night Lights

This year Dunkin’ has partnered with a local tradition call Good Night Lights to support Iced Coffee Day. I’ve LONG been a fan of Good Night Lights in Rhode Island because it’s something that truly means something so special and does indeed create and leave a lasting impressions and impact.

If you aren’t aware of Good Night Lights, you’re going to love this…

Pretty awesome, right? This video made me tear up!

Good Night Lights is a daily tradition in which local residents, businesses and law enforcement officials let the kids at Hasbro Children’s Hospital know they’re thinking of them. Every night, at exactly 8:30 p.m., Good Night Lights participants shine flashlights (and police cars, firetrucks and ambulances turn on their lights) toward the hospital from various locations in downtown Providence. In return, patients in the hospital flicker their room lights on and off and shine their own flashlights from their windows. Starting this year, all new Next Generation Dunkin’ stores in RI and Southeastern, MA will flash their lights ceremoniously as well.

Iced Coffee Day is all about helping the brave kids and their families at Hasbro, and so is Good Night Lights.  So, this year, when you buy an Iced Coffee at Dunkin’ (starting next week), you will receive a small key chain flashlight that is marked with the date of Iced Coffee Day.

All day long on Iced Coffee Day (again, May 22nd), Dunkin’ will be hosting mini events at various store locations, hoping to drive out crowds to buy Iced Coffees.  There will be political figures, local celebrities and even a New England Patriot at Dunkin’ stores working the windows and encouraging customers to take part in the great cause.

Iced Coffee Day

Iced Coffee Day will conclude with a celebration on the evening of May 22 with a “block party” at India Point Park, where everyone who has received a flashlight, and all community members, are invited to head on over for a night of games, food and fun, all leading to a HUGE 8:30 p.m. flashlight flash to our friends at the hospital. Iced Coffee Day is a full day about them, and Dunkin’ is passionate about wanting the kids to see just how many people truly care.

I have goosebumps just writing this last paragraph!! Please join ME and Dunkin’ on May 22nd in spreading awareness and raising money!!

I love Dunkin Donuts ice coffee. It is basically all I order there. I always get mine with almond milk and unsweetened. I then put in a little stevia!
