101 Romantic Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas

101 Romantic Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas. Valentine’s Day is the DAY of love! It’s always been one of my favorite holidays because I’m a true romantic! When Matt and I first started dating, I would do elaborate gifts for him. The good thing is – I had the time at that point because it was pre-kids! LOL! I remember one year doing a love treasure hunts with messages hidden all over the place. It took Matt hours to finish it! One year (when Message in a Bottle was a hot movie), Matt actually write me love letters and placed them all in a bottle. Romantic? YES. I love it!!

When you become a parent, Valentine’s Day changes. Not in a bad way – but – let’s face it, you’re busy and it’s totally crazy… gone are the days of romantic candlelight dinners and strolls through Central Park.

Romance has become letting the other one sleep late.

Romance has become ordering IN a delicious dinner.

Romance has become sitting on the couch and watching our favorite shows (and falling asleep!).

Romance has changed a bit with kids because – in all honesty – we love being with them, too.

So what’s a girl to do?
