I have 5 kids that are extremely, ridiculously, insanely excited for Christmas! The “lists” to Santa have been created and mailed! The tree is up and ready to impress! The house is decorated from top to bottom!  Oh, yes… we’re READY!

For my kids – the best part of the holiday is (dare I say it) the gifts! They’re young, so for them… it’s the fun of seeing what’s inside the shiny, beautiful packages with their names on them! For me – it’s all about the giving. I love seeing their faces when they open something they’ve been asking for! It’s an awesome moment!

This year for Christmas we did something a little fun for Ben and Henry (along with Victoria)! I let them open ONE surprise gift a little early! They’ve been BEGGING for a remote control car… I mean, BEGGING! I found one that was exactly what they wanted and thought it would be fun to surprise them! Their report cards just came out and they did very well, so I explained that it was an “Early Christmas Gift” for being such GOOD students!

As soon as they opened it… it wouldn’t work!
