Every year I stress over School Photos.

Every.

Single.

Year.

I can’t even begin to tell you how much money I have probably spent throughout the years on new clothing for school photos! And yes – it’s crazy because I always buy from head to toe and you ONLY see waist up. But hey… that’s just me.

This year for Victoria’s preschool photo I bought an adorable gray dress with a white trim. I personally loved it and couldn’t wait for her to wear it for her photos! I envisioned her hair down with a white bow on top. I had the whole thing planned and it was “perfect.”

School Photos Shouldn’t be Stressful

And then guess what?

I went out of town for work.

And my husband?

The poor guy completely forgot about photo day.

He called to tell me that her hair was still in the bun I had it in the day before and she rolled to school with her clothes on that she slept in. When Dad’s on duty, it’s a little more casual! LOL!

He called me after drop-off and said, “oh, man… I forgot photo day! Her hair was a mess and her clothes are random!”

It became such a joke between us that we couldn’t wait for the photos to come home.

And yesterday… it did.

And I realized one thing… it doesn’t matter! It doesn’t matter at all. All that stress? Yeah. Not necessary.

When I saw this photo, it made me smile.

This is Victoria. This is real. This is perfect. This is HER.
