Get a Fire Safety Plan in Place for National Fire Prevention Month

October is National Fire Prevention Month and it’s the perfect time to freshen up on fire safety education. With 5 kids it’s very important for me to get a fire safety plan in place for our family. Fires are something that nobody wants to happen in their home and it’s crucial to make sure you do what you can to prevent them from happening.

BIC Corporation, the leading manufacturer of personal lighters, teamed up with Dr. Robert Cole of Fireproof Children, to create an educational program for children called play safe! be safe!®

BIC is helping teach kids about fire safety and how to follow a fire safety plan.

This multimedia fire safety program provides parents, educators, and daycare providers with the tools and resources they need to teach fire safety to preschool-aged children. Since my daughter Victoria is heading to preschool this year, I thought it was the perfect resource for her! There are really cool games for her to enjoy!

This fun app teaches kids about fire safety.

Fun games make learning about fire safety easy and engaging.

Dr. Cole – who is a Developmental Psychologist and an Associate Professor of Clinical Nursing at the University of Rochester and is an expert on child fire safety – is helping families reeducate themselves on fire safety, prevention, and having a fire safety plan in place. Check out this great infographic that BIC Corporation is sharing! Great info to know and keep in mind always!

Make sure you have a fire safety plan in place to protect your family.
