There’s nothing like celebrating with friends, but there’s nothing better than celebrating with friends and doing good!
Last night I celebrated 25 years of Project Undercover at the Rhode Island Country Club in Barrington, RI! I have loved supporting Project Undercover throughout the years because it’s an incredible organization that does so much good for Rhode Islanders.
What does Project Undercover do?
Project Undercover believes that every child has the right to a clean, dry bottom. That’s why we provide diapers, socks, underwear and baby wipes to help the approximately 20,000 children under age 7 throughout Rhode Island living in poverty. (There are approximately 45,000 total children living in poverty in RI.) Project Undercover collects and distributes these items to more than two-dozen community action partnerships and social service agencies throughout the state based on data from the RI Department of Human Services. These partner agencies are then able to provide supplies directly to struggling families in their communities.
This year Project Undercover celebrated the BIG 25 with a big celebration! I have loved attending this event throughout the years because it’s such a fun way to do something GOOD! My friend Stephanie puts together such an incredible event for all to enjoy… from entertainment to yummy food to auctions to celebrations with beautiful venues! Last night she out did herself and I was thrilled to see SO MANY PEOPLE come together for such a beautiful and important cause.
The night was a HUGE success and it was wonderful to be part of it and see it all take place! BRAVO to the Project Undercover TEAM!
We tried to get as many as we could in this picture!!
Project Undercover is always accepting donations of diapers, children’s socks and underwear, and baby wipes, as well as financial contributions and volunteers. Visit our “You Can Help” page to learn more about how to help us serve Rhode Island kids living in poverty.
