I’m being totally honest with you right now. I don’t know many players in the game of football. I don’t know much about the game, in terms of certain plays, etc. And I haven’t let my own kids start to play yet because I’m still a scared mom and don’t want to see them get hit.
But, yes… I’m a big fan.
Well, let me put it this way… I’m a Patriots fan and even more, a Tom Brady fan.
For me, it isn’t about the game of football. It’s about seeing men as heroes for my sons. It’s more than just “How many Super Bowl rings do you have?” It’s… are you the kind of guy my son can look up to and say, “I want to be just like him.” And for me, yes – that’s the kind of guy Tom Brady is in my eyes. Now – I live in a house of Steelers fans, so the second I bring up Tom Brady I hear 1 thing: 1) deflating balls. (Can you feel my eye roll right now?)
There are 2 big reasons why I’m a Tom Brady fan:
- The guy’s got heart. He’s passionate about the game. And truthfully, he seems like the kind of guy that regardless of what sport he was playing, he’d be good at it because he’s got that heart. Not everyone is born with the passion and the competitive rush in their blood.
- The guy’s just a good guy.
I found 2 videos this last week that really made me go… WOW (and prompted me to write this)…
1) I highly suggest you watch this one. If you don’t have time to watch the whole thing, the beginning is good, too. There have been some shortened ones going around the internet of this, too!
2) This one was awesome. I have 4 sons who are SUPER close to their Dad, so this really hit me to the core.
