Star Wars Day at Sea

Star Wars Day at Sea. It was… in a word, EPIC. As you can tell from my other posts, the week at sea aboard the Disney Fantasy was incredible. Every single day just got better and better for us! We had never been on a Disney Cruise before – not one called Star Wars Day at Sea, so we were just thrilled each day with another round of awesome offerings and different things to do. I just can’t say enough about how amazing Disney really takes care of you aboard their ships. They treat you like family. They allow you to create memories with your family that will last a lifetime. They – truly – make magic for you.

Star Wars Day at Sea

All week we were gearing up for Star Wars Day at Sea! In full disclosure, we’re Star Wars fans… so as you can imagine, everyone was excited to see what the full day would be like! We ordered costumes for the kids right after Christmas, so they were over the moon about walking around as Jawas and Rey all day! They were more excited for these costumes than they were about their Halloween ones! The extra special part was that we were there with the Sweeney family, too. We were able to experience all that Star Wars Day at Sea has to offer with them and it really made it extra fun for the kids!

So what can you expect on Star Wars Day at Sea?

Oh, my! Are you ready for this!? I created a video with Vera to really showcase ALL that we did aboard the ship! There were tons of activities and it was just great to be able to have the time to do everything we wanted to do. Disney was VERY smart in offering the same types of events – Jedi Training, Pool Patrol, etc – multiple times throughout the day. If you missed one because you were somewhere else, you had ample opportunities to make sure you got to it later. I appreciated that throughout the day. Also – the Meet and Greets! These are HUGE, especially for kids. These were throughout the day!!! The entire day!!! And the characters were INCREDIBLE!! They stopped for everyone who asked for a photo (if it wasn’t a set-up professional one). I was just so amazed as to how SPECIAL they made it for babies, toddlers, kids, teens and adults!

Here’s what you have in store to look forward to, coming to you from me and Vera! 🙂

And… of course, we did our daily cam, too! It was so much fun watching the boys come alive with their costumes on!!

The Costume Celebration was wonderful! Seeing all the amazing costumes that people took their time with and really wanted to knock out of the park was just amazing. There was time and energy and passion put into the choosing of the costumes and it was wonderful. You felt like a true community. Everyone commenting and loving the costume picks!

The Pool Patrol was super cool! If you’re on a ship for Star Wars Day at Sea. When we went back to the pool in the afternoon for a quick cool down, one of the Storm Troopers was “nice” enough to pose for a photo with me! I loved it! My kids got a kick out of watching them patrol the pool up and down!

Meet and Greets were a blast, too! Every child and adult in there got excited about posing with a character! It was really cool to see everyone appreciate the Star Wars passion!

And… of course, my other favorite part was the FIREWORKS! The Star Wars Firework celebration was off the charts!! The show leading up and just the excitement from everyone! The music! The lights! The show! The energy! It was truly AWE-some!!!!!!!!!!
