One of my favorite holiday traditions each season is creating our McClelland Family holiday card. Ever since we were first married, we’ve sent out holiday cards. I remember feeling so excited that first Christmas back in 2001 being able to send out cards from “the McClellands!” It brought such a big smile to my face. Since then… well, our family has grown (quite a bit!). With 5 kids, it’s the perfect opportunity to take a fun family photo and be able to share it with all of our family and friends (you know, beyond just the walls of social media!). It’s a time to wish all of our family and friends well wishes for the upcoming holidays and bless them with tidings for a fabulous New Year ahead!
This year I wanted our holiday card to be a nautical theme. We purchased our 1st family boat this past summer, so for us… everything is anchors, ocean and Vineyard Vines! It only seemed right to take our holiday photo on the boat this year. After all, it IS the newest member of our family! ♥

When we lived in the states I would always send beautiful Christmas cards but since we have moved overseas it is far too expensive to order them and send them out. It makes me sad! Minted makes beautiful cards for all holidays and occasions.
I send out about 100-150 cards, no I don’t have that much family, I send cards to people who have no one to send them cards, veterans and some social media friends. I love sending cards.

I send out 75 cards for myself and I send out 50 for my sister. When my younger sister became a mom, 12 years ago she blessed our family with a sweet baby girl, a December baby to boot! I remember her saying I just can’t do holiday cards this year it was too much for her to care for this new sweet baby and to worry about writing out cards. So I said don’t worry about it I’ll get it done for you. 12 years later as a gift for my sister and brother in law I still do their holiday cards they send me the pictures they want to be included and I get it done! It is my favorite gift to give because they never know what their holiday card will look like until it arrives in their mailbox!
