Bucket List Item: To Ski Utah with my Family

I started skiing when I was 5 years old. Growing up in New England, skiing was a sport that my parents were thrilled to introduce me and my siblings to. I fell in love with skiing… the cold mountain air, the crisp snow under my feet, the gorgeous scenery, racing down the mountain with my siblings, hot cocoa after a few good runs. I’ve thanked my parents repeatedly throughout the years for bringing skiing into my life as such a young child.

Fast forward 30+ (ahem) years and now here I am wanting to introduce my own family to skiing. My husband grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, so there weren’t many areas for him to ski. When we started dating, I brought him along on many ski trips throughout the years. He took to it like a fish to water and loved it, too! We’re hoping our 5 kids take to it like we did! My daughter (at 3 years old) is the exact same age as when my younger sister started skiing.

We’ve always joked that my sister is the best skier in the family (by fay) because she started so young! I want skiing to become a life long sport for my children like it has for me. I want it to be a sport they introduce their kids to someday. It’s such a wonderful family activity and vacation to do together… it’s a priceless kind of gift.

A skiing bucket list for me and my family?

I want to Ski Utah. It’s a gorgeous and beautiful place and I’ve ALWAYS wanted to ski there.

Why Ski Utah with my family?

The Utah Ski and Snowboard Association is a non-profit trade organization founded in 1975 with the aim of promoting Utah’s ski and snowboard industry. Currently, Ski Utah represents 14 resorts across Utah.  There’s the perfect ski vacation waiting for you!  Check out — 10 Things You Didn’t Know About Utah Snow.

Ski Utah makes it easy for families to head there to ski with their Ski Utah Passport Program. The Ski Utah Passport Program is your ticket to winter fun for your 5th and 6th graders (which I have 2 of those, my William and my Alex!).

What is the Passport Program all about?
