Garnier SkinActive Clearly Brighter Challenge

When it comes to my skin, I’ve been very proactive over the last few years.  I was someone in my 20’s who really didn’t do much. I would wear makeup and never wash it off before bed. I wasn’t moisturizing regularly. I hardly thought about making it brighter or smoother. In all honesty, I was so focused on work and starting my family, my skin was the last thing on my mind! That all changed a few years ago for me when I started to see (dare I say it) all those fine lines and wrinkles. I knew making my skin a top priority was key. I’m going to be (gulp!) 40 in 2 years and I really want to continue to be very passionate about keeping my skin healthy. And I don’t want my skin to just look and be healthy for me… I want it for these guys and girl, too!

I’m all about trying out new beauty products that I hear people raving about for their skin! When I hear someone say, “I see a difference!” – I’m game! Now that I’ve gotten a bit older and wiser, I know that it takes a “little bit” of help to keep your skin smooth, healthy and beautiful.  Gone are the days of not caring, skincare is something that I have truly built into my beauty regime. I also want my kids to see that I care about taking care of my skin. I’m always on them to wash their face and make sure they use sunscreen; I love being able to lead by example with them, too.

Recently I took Garnier’s Clearly Brighter Challenge and tried out Garnier SkinActive® Clearly Brighter™ Brightening & Smoothing Daily Moisturizer SPF 15. Two claims that popped out to me immediately when I heard about this product were – brightening and smoothing. I mean, yes… I could use a little brighten and I could use a little smoothness. With the life that I lead with my five kids and working full-time, anything I can do to help brighten and smooth, I will happily do! I might be a busy mom on the go, but I don’t want my skin to reflect it.

As you can imagine, I hear about a ton of different moisturizers. So – the question definitely needs to be posed – what really spoke to me about this daily moisturize in particular?

Great question! 🙂

I love hearing what it claims: “a clinically proven daily moisturizer with Antioxidant Vitamin C that works quickly and effectively to even out tone and texture for visibly brighter, smoother skin in just 1 week.”*

1 week. Just a short 7 days. How incredible is that?

Since I really wanted to see how I liked it, I doubled up and gave it 2 weeks. I used it every day on my skin and really loved how lightweight it felt on my face. It wasn’t heavy or greasy on my skin. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve noticed that my skin has gotten drier, so I loved how this made my face feel after using it. What’s incredible is the antioxidants in the formula, specifically Vitamin C.  The Vitamin C works quickly and effectively to help even out tone and texture for visibly brighter, smoother skin. Just like I love making sure I’m getting enough Vitamin C in my body to keep it healthy, I love using it on the outside, too! There’s also Vitamin E, Pine Bark Essence, and gentle exfoliating Lipo-Hydroxyl Acid (LHA) that works to turn dull or rough skin into smooth skin. The moisturizer also has a nice refreshing scent that really wakes the skin up. This almost-40-year-old face saw a big difference in just 2 weeks. My skin was visibly healthier looking and I loved seeing that outcome so quickly.

Here’s a peek at my fresh skin right out of the shower! As you can tell, my skin looks bright and smooth and honestly… just healthy. That’s all I want. And most importantly, that’s what I want to see.

Listen, as women, we all do what we can for our skin to make it look healthy.

I love that Garnier SkinActive® has created this incredible product that really works. It’s not about having perfect skin; it’s about having healthy skin. Here’s to “the active way to visibly healthier skin!”

  1. I keep it hydrated with moisturizer, I only wash with sensitive skin/non harsh products and I stay hydrated.

  2. I find products that work for my skin and I try to have a diet that includes foods that are good for the skin.

  3. I don’t wear makeup and only wash my face with an actual cleanser once a week. I also drink mostly water and keep my skin protected with a daily moisturizer with sunscreen.

  4. I eat healthy with lots of fruits and veggies. I also drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
