My girl is 3 years old today.

3 years old.

Officially a toddler.

I prayed for Victoria. I prayed long and hard for months for her. I suffered a miscarriage in August of 2012, in the midst of one of the toughest year’s of my life. When I found out on Halloween on 2012 that I was pregnant again, my heart was full in that second of seeing 2 lines.

I can’t explain this with any specific evidence, but I know Victoria was sent to me from my Nana. I know this from the core of my being.

Victoria is my everything. She’s the daughter I always knew I wanted and that I needed. She’s my other half. My perfect partner in a house of boys. She’s fierce and bold and fearless. She’s funny and sweet and caring. She’s determined and focused. She’s silly and crazy and a ball full of energy.

She’s exactly what our family needed.

As in tradition, I created a birthday video montage for Victoria. I do this for every one of the kid’s for their birthday. They ask for it the second they wake up and I love that! Victoria’s still too little, but it’s the first thing the boys asked about this morning!

Victoria, I love you so much. You are a gift.
