Self Improvement Resolutions

As I’ve talked to more and more female friends throughout the last few weeks, I’ve been amazed to hear about how many of them are really looking towards attaining self-improvement resolutions throughout 2016. Many of them started their self-improvement resolutions in 2015 and really worked hard at keeping them up. From working out to eating healthy to making more “me” time to getting a new hair style to changing it up with their clothing to straightening teeth for an improved smile… resolutions were really geared towards self-improvement, making themselves feel better and more confident.

These are the best kind of resolutions because they truly make you feel better inside and out.

A survey, conducted by Kelton and sponsored by the makers of Invisalign® clear aligners, found the following:
• Almost half (49%) of women ages 18-54 made a resolution at the start of 2015 to improve themselves
• Nearly 16 million women think they could start improving their smile within the next 90 days
• An improved smile is something many women believe would give them a boost of confidence (44 percent) and happiness (36 percent)

Pretty incredible, right!?

When I was in middle school, I was always self-conscious of my teeth because there were crooked and just – to be honest – here, there and everywhere. As a tween, believe it or not, I had to have 10 teeth pulled! I had an 5 EXTRA teeth grow in on top when I was younger and it really changed the look of my “big” teeth as they grew in. It was something that continuously bothered me and I never EVER wanted to smile in pictures and have my smile in freeze-frame. My parents took it upon themselves to get my teeth straightened when I was 14 years old.

It changed my life.

If I was an adult woman struggling with teeth that weren’t straight… I would 100% want to get them straightened. An improved smile is an attainable New Year goal that can positively impact appearance and also boost confidence. Straightening your teeth to improve your smile may be a great way for women to boost their confidence and happiness – with the New Year right around the corner – now is the perfect time to get started.

Invisalign is an incredible option for adults and kids and everyone that I know who has used them, has LOVED them. Invisalign is a series of nearly invisible, removable “aligners” that are used to gradually straighten teeth without metal or wires. How amazing is that!? You literally say GOOD-BYE to metal or wires. The best part is that Invisalign’s treatment capabilities are not just limited to mild cosmetic cases. Due to many advances in its proprietary technology, Invisalign can effectively correct a broad range of more complex cases such as: overly crowded teeth, widely spaced teeth, open bite, crossbite, overbite and underbite. I love that you are able to correct and fix these types of things, too.

Every patient’s needs are different and there are many factors that determine the cost of Invisalign treatment, but in most cases, Invisalign is comparable in cost to traditional braces. It’s definitely something you can inquire about with your doctor to get more information for yourself or someone on your family. A great thing to note, too is that most dental insurance plans cover Invisalign treatment and affordable financing options are often available.

It’s a great way to kick off the New Year with a plan in place to do something for YOU that will continue yourself on the self-improvement resolution path! If this is something you’ve been wanting to do or look into, the time is now to look into Invisalign! Go for it!
