I’ll never forget my cousin introducing me to her American Girl doll collection over 20 years ago. I was in my teens and I couldn’t get over her love, passion and happiness that her American Girl dolls brought her. What really impressed me was the stories and the histories behind each American Girl. I just couldn’t get over how smart and amazing this brand was for young girls. I’m thrilled today to share about American Girl Grace!
American Girl Grace
As years passed, I became an auntie to 2 little nieces. They fell in love with the American Girl brand, too. I adored watching them fall in love with the dolls and the accessories and the books. I also loved going to the American Girl cafe with them and enjoying a fabulous girl day! I always wanted to do the same things with my own daughter.
I finally am able to enjoy the American Girl brand with my own daughter! After having 4 sons and now my Victoria – I have ADORED beyond anything the world of dolls and playing dress up and enjoying all the mom and daughter fun that there is… especially with American Girl. My daughter loves playing with dolls, so it was only appropriate for her to have her very own American Girl doll. It’s the beginning of the beginning for me in this beautiful journey and I am so excited for the adventure.

Victoria received the 2015 American Grace this year. Grace is absolutely adorable and the perfect 1st American Girl doll for my sweet girl.

Meet Grace, 2015 Girl of the Year™! She’s a big-ideas girl who makes baking her business. The 18″ Grace doll has sparkling blue eyes that open and close, a sprinkling of freckles on her nose, and long dark-brown hair with sideswept bangs and a tiny accent braid. She has a huggable cloth body, and her movable head and limbs are made of smooth vinyl. She comes with the Grace paperback book, plus her Paris welcome outfit:

A charm bracelet that Mom gave her

What I love about Grace is that she’s the perfect companion for my Victoria. She’s adorable. She’s fashionable. She’s lovable. She’s a girl’s girl.
The best is when Victoria says to me, “Mama – take a photo of her!” She really loves her!
There’s something about little girls playing with dolls that always warms my heart. You see this maternal instinct kick in that is just so innate. It’s beautiful to see. Just her and her American Girl Grace!
But most important… American Girl celebrates girls and all that they can be. It’s a beautiful thing to teach my daughter and have her be part of… the celebration of girls! It’s pretty amazing when this is what At American Girl is all about, we celebrate girls and all that they can be. That’s why we develop products and experiences that help girls grow up in a wholesome way, while encouraging them to enjoy girlhood through fun and enchanting play.
Thank you for doing this American Girl… I’m excited for the years of AG love and bonding time! I waited a LONG time for this!!
