T.J.Maxx is dedicated to raising funds and awareness for organizations that work to improve the lives of the nearly one in four American children that live in poverty. For more than 30 years, T.J.Maxx has supported Save the Children through in-store fundraising campaigns, child sponsorship and merchandise.

This month, T.J.Maxx is helping to maximize what matters most to you, and to your community! And they’re asking for your help!

They are encouraging kids to help other kids by launching an in-store art contest from now-July 7, asking children to answer the following question with an illustration “What do you like most in the whole world?”

“We’re excited to launch the ‘Maxx Kids Art Contest’ because it’s a chance for kids to have fun while helping other kids in need,” said Rebecca Leonard, spokesperson for T.J.Maxx.

The contest will run in-store from June 21 through July 11 and 25 winners will be selected.

Submissions will be judged based off of the following criteria: originality, creativity, and applicability to the theme of “what’s your favorite thing in the whole world?”

(Children must be 14 years old or younger to participate._

HOW TO ENTER
1. Get an entry form: During the Contest Period, entrant can obtain an entry form at a T.J.Maxx store or online at www.tjmaxx.com/artcontest.
2. Create a Submission: Create an original drawing or other artwork in the supplied area of the entry form in response to the theme of “what’s your favorite thing in the whole world?” and complete the requested entry information (the “Submission”). All Submissions must also have the parent/guardian consent completed and signed as indicated in order to be eligible.
3. Enter your Submission: Submit your illustration at a T.J.Maxx store during the Contest Period.

Coinciding with the “Maxx Kids Art Contest”, a reusable bag featuring children’s artwork will be available in-stores for $.99 with proceeds benefiting Save the Children’s literacy, nutrition and physical activity program.

My sons Henry and Benjamin entered the contest!! They each drew something that was their FAVORITE in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD.

Entrants will have a chance to win a $250 savings bond AND for their artwork to be featured on future fundraising products that will support organizations like Save the Children that help children in need reach their full potential.
