Make A Stand with Vivienne Harr #DisneySMMC

One of the things I love the most about the Disney Social Media Moms Conference is the people we get to hear from, learn from and be inspired from… one of those special people this year was Vivienne Harr, an 11 year old dynamo!

If you’re not familiar with Vivienne’s story, which I wasn’t… prepare to be dazzled, amazed and truly inspired by this beautiful and smart little girl…

I stood there, as a mom of 5 myself, with tears streaming down my cheeks as she told her incredible story.

What an inspiration.

This little girl wanted to make a change and raise money through a lemonade stand to end child slavery.

I mean, I get goosebumps right now just thinking about it.

My favorite line of all that she said, “You don’t have to be big or powerful to change the world. You can be just like me.”

Watching this beautiful little girl take the stage and tell her story and how much farther she still wants to go, it left me breathless.

It left me wanting to call my kids in that very moment and encourage them to help the world in someway… through something. Her passion and energy was contagious through the moms at the conference and I’ll tell you what – you could hear a pin drop as she spoke because we were all so brought into her life and her story.

After Vivienne spoke, I had a chance to meet her and tell her how amazing her story was… as a true adorable 11 year old, she said, “Thank you so much!” But my favorite was the photo I took with her… she held up a peace sign and then said to me afterwards, “I think my brother photobombed it!” (He did!)

Thank you to Disney for bringing Vivienne to the conference and having her share… it truly made an impact.
