Meal Prep Tips

We’ve all said it. Always at this time of year. “This is the year I will workout more and eat healthy.” We have good intensions. You start off on a roll. You’re a machine week one. Fitting those workouts in, eating healthy salads, and skipping out on cocktail hour. Then week two comes along with the excuses. Busy schedules, work stresses, and the kids. I get it. I’ve been there many, many times. I have found the only thing that works is meal prepping. Sure, it can be a little daunting, but if you plan ahead it makes a world of difference. Knowing I have a healthy meal sitting right there in the fridge deters me from grabbing the crap I shouldn’t be eating. I’m going to share with you 10 basic food prep tips that will set you up for success. Just block out an hour on a Sunday and you’ll be ready.

Extra Meal Prep Tips

Grab some containers and make up some lunches or dinners with your prepared foods. These simple tips will get you on your way. So before you grab that chocolate chip granola bar that  you “think” is healthy, or get a sub for lunch because you’re pressed for time, be prepared with something better. It makes it so much easier to keep on track toward your goal. Throw a few things in your bag before you head to the office, or on your way to run errands all day. Best of luck in 2015 and beyond!

Meal Prep Tips are for you! Take advantage and make sure you’re doing what you can to get it done! Success depends upon previous preparation, and without such preparation there is sure to be failure. – Confucius

Happy New Year everyone!

ABOUT SHERI MCSHANE:
Sheri McShane
Hello All. My name is Sheri. I am a working mother of 3 pretty darn fabulous little boys. I’m trying very hard to handle the stresses of working, being a mother, being a wife, keeping house, and finding the time to just laugh and enjoy life. A few things you should know about me: I’m an iced-coffee addict, I love to organize, and I love my wine. I am also a master at fort-building and being the belly-eating monster. Fitness and healthy eating habits are important to me so you may hear a little about that too. Here you will read about my daily musings and of course my venting, wine glass in hand. Hope you find something you can relate to. Cheers.
