Recap Of My 30-Day Get Picky Challenge with Fiber Choice®

Disclosure: All opinions are my own! I have been provided compensation as well as a free product from the makers of Fiber Choice® for taking part in the 30-Day Get Picky Challenge with Fiber Choice®.

If you have been following along for the last few weeks, you know I took the 30-Day Get Picky Challenge with Fiber Choice®. I committed to taking Fiber Choice® supplements throughout the month of August as a way to get more fiber in my diet. This was part of an overall goal to take better care of myself by incorporating healthy habits into my hectic life – in addition to my role as mom to an almost-7-month-old boy and three big dogs, I work part-time outside of the home, take care of the books for my husband’s landscaping business, play an administrative role for two Facebook pages, and blog here at Mom Generations.

It’s a constant balancing act, and one that makes it difficult (though not impossible) to squeeze in the good and necessary things I really want to add to my life, like exercise and honest-to-goodness healthy meal planning. But taking fiber supplements? That I can do. And that’s why I was so eager to take on the 30-Day Get Picky Challenge with Fiber Choice®.

I have reached the end of those 30 days, but that doesn’t mean I will stop taking my supplements. Going into this challenge, I knew that if they weren’t tasty or easily accessible for me, I would have a hard time completing the 30 days. Luckily, the Fiber Choice® chewable tablets I chose were actually great-tasting. And as for being easily accessible? The Fiber Choice® container has become a part of our kitchen landscape now, right next to the Keurig.

As you may know, fiber plays a large role in our overall health, helping to maintain and support our digestive tract by keeping food moving through our system. Fiber Choice® products contain 100% soluble natural fiber to help support the immune system, digestive tract and overall health and regularity, and can be taken every day as part of an ongoing effort to live a healthier life.

Here are a few more points to remember about fiber:

  • It’s important to get the recommended daily allowance of fiber each day to maintain your health and well-being. The recommended daily fiber intake is 25 to 30 grams, but according to the American Dietetic Association, most Americans get only about half that amount.
  • Even for the healthiest eaters, getting the daily recommended intake of fiber can be challenging. Incorporating Fiber Choice® into your daily routine may help you maintain good digestive health.

If you’re interested in taking the 30-Day Get Picky Challenge yourself, here’s what you need to know: Fiber Choice® Fiber Choice® fiber supplements are available at most mass merchandisers, drug stores and grocery stores throughout the United States and are available online at drugstore.com and amazon.com. They come in five formulas: Fiber Choice® chewable tablets; Fiber Choice® Fruity Bites; Fiber Choice® Weight Management; Fiber Choice® Plus Calcium and Fiber Choice® Plus Antioxidants (for more information on all of these you can visit www.FiberChoice.com).

**As an added incentive for you to make the switch to Fiber Choice®, check out the Fiber Choice® Consumer Challenge taking place throughout this month! Each week in September, five winners will be selected at random to win high-value coupons. At the end of the month, one participant will win a $500 prepaid gift card. Fiber and tasty rarely show up in the same sentence and you’ve used them together many times throughout this challenge. I’m convinced!

I have these sitting in my pantry…and I should be taking them, and I’m not. And I don’t have a good reason at all!

Yay for taking the challenge and being successful with it. I get fiber in my protein smoothie and whole grain sprouted bread—but these would be great for when I travel!

I might actually have to do this! I could make that little change in my routine. My mother swears by Fiber Choice!

To be honest I have never even thought about my fiber intake. Maybe I should start.

Fiber is definitely important, as is healthy eating and exercise. Why does it have to be so hard to make it all fall into place. I’m glad these are working well for you! Great job on the health initiative!
