Springfree Trampoline

My sons have been begging me and my husband for a trampoline for years. I mean, literally… years. Ever since my oldest son William was in Kindergarten, they’ve been asking. William is now entering the 4th grade! So as you can tell, it’s been awhile. To be honest with you, the reason we held off for so long is because of the safety factor. 4 boys and a trampoline, it always scared us. We didn’t have a Springfree Trampoline (or had heard of one!). We kept thinking of fingers getting crushed in the springs. We kept thinking of the boys falling off the side. We kept thinking of the steel beams underneath. Our minds just raced to the safety features on traditional trampolines and we just were too worried.

Well, the worry can finally go away… thanks to the Springfree Trampoline.

Springfree Trampoline

I was asked to review a Springfree Trampoline for our family a couple of months ago and we have absolutely been in awe of how incredible and amazing this trampoline is for our family. When I was first approached, the first thing I did was go online and see what the Springfree Trampoline was all about. I had never heard of a Springfree Trampoline and I was instantly intrigued because I loved the fact that it was spring-free.

The Springfree Trampoline offers a one-of-a-kind design that removes product-related impact areas causing injury in traditional trampolines. Designed by a world-class team of engineers, Springfree Trampoline has eliminated the impact areas that cause 90 percent of all trampoline injuries: the springs, the frame at the jumping surface, the risk of falls to the ground and the risk of collision with rigid enclosure poles.

Specific safety features of Springfree Trampoline include:
– No Springs: High-performance composite rods give a soft non-jarring bounce. The rods lie beneath the jumping surface out of harm’s way.
– Hidden Frame: The frame is well beneath the jumping surface. You can’t hit it, period.
– SoftEdge: The mat is 30 times more shock absorbent than the typical pads laid over the
frame and springs on traditional trampolines.
– FlexiNet: The enclosure has flexible supports to cushion jumpers and prevent falls, directing falling jumpers back to the center of the mat.

Since safety is my biggest and largest concern, it eases my mind to see all of these amazing safety features be brought into play. This is EXACTLY what I’m looking for when I’m purchasing things for my sons and I appreciate a company taking the time to create and design a trampoline to be made so safe.

As you can tell, my sons are LOVING it!

My sons literally play on this every single night! We have become that “go-to” house in our neighborhood because of our trampoline!

We love it!

Springfree Trampoline was designed by Dr. Keith Alexander, a professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. Dr. Alexander, a father of three, decided a trampoline would be a good addition to the family backyard but was met with strong disapproval from his wife. Further research showed designs of spring-based trampolines were dangerously flawed, causing serious childhood injuries. After 15 years of research and development, Dr. Alexander created a “spring-free” trampoline he was confident was safe for his kids to use. Dr. Alexander and industry partners commercialized the Springfree design in 2003. Springfree Trampoline is now sold in 15 countries.

Disclosure: I was sent a Springfree Trampoline for review, 100% of the opinions in this post are mine.
