The summer is all about grilling. Who am I kidding? We grill all year – rain or shine or snow! We love to grill chicken and steak and shrimp and veggies. Our big thing is chicken! Our kids love it so much! We’ve been trying to find some Chicken Marinade Recipes for our chicken recipes to mix it up a bit!
We love to experiment and have some fun! I’m thrilled to share some Chicken Marinade Recipes from my friend Sheri McShane, who is a new contributor for MomGenerations.com! Sheri has the blog: When the Kids Go to Bed. She’s my guru when it comes to just about anything food related.
Chicken Marinade Recipes
Summer time is grilling time!!! I’m the griller in my household…possibly because I’m kind of a control freak in the kitchen and outdoors. If it involved food, it’s my domain. There is nothing like the smell of food cooking on the grill on a warm summer night, with a cold beer in hand. I just love it! I’m here to share with you 6 different grilling marinades to try out! These are Chicken Marinade Recipes – but can be used for steak, fish, or even portabella mushroom caps, you’ll find one that will pair nicely.
6 Chicken Marinade Recipes
My all time favorite for fish is one I found watching Ina Garten. The Asian Grill Sauce. I even use it as a salad dressing occasionally.
1: Asian Grill Sauce: 2tbls of Dijon mustard, 3tbls soy sauce, 1tsp minced garlic, and 6tbls olive oil.
2: Montreal Steak Marinade: 2tbls cider vinegar, 2tsp Worcestershire, 1tbls steak seasoning, 5tbls olive oil. (this one is great with portabellas)
3: Lemon Herb: 1/3 cup olive oil, ¼ cup fresh lemon juice, 1tsp minced garlic, 3 tsp of thyme.
4: Teriyaki: ½ cup soy sauce, ½ cup orange juice, 1tbls rice wine vinegar, 1tsp minced garlic, 1tsp minced ginger.
5: Honey Mustard: 3tbls Dijon mustard, 3tbls honey, 2tbls soy sauce.
6: Garlic & Herb: 6 crushed cloves of garlic, 2tsp thyme, 2tsp rosemary, 2tbls cider vinegar, 5tbls olive oil.
I usually leave my meats in the marinade for 30 minutes or longer before tossing them on the grill. I hope you enjoy them! Now get out there and enjoy a gorgeous summer night.
Hope you enjoyed these Chicken Marinade Recipes!

ABOUT SHERI MCSHANE:
Hello All. My name is Sheri. I am a working mother of 3 pretty darn fabulous little boys. I’m trying very hard to handle the stresses of working, being a mother, being a wife, keeping house, and finding the time to just laugh and enjoy life. A few things you should know about me: I’m an iced-coffee addict, I love to organize, and I love my wine. I am also a master at fort-building and being the belly-eating monster. Fitness and healthy eating habits are important to me so you may hear a little about that too. Here you will read about my daily musings and of course my venting, wine glass in hand.
