Build-A-Bear Workshop…
Here’s another great idea for surviving the summer – it will help keep your kids busy and teach them the importance of giving back. There is a wonderful program from Build-A-Bear Workshop called Huggable Heroes. For the past 11 years, the company has recognized and rewarded young people ages 8 to 18 who are making the world a better place. Past Huggable Heroes have supported a wide variety of causes including the military, health and wellness and the environment. Nominations are being accepted now through June 12, 2014. Ten Huggable Heroes will each receive a $5,000 scholarship and a $2,500 donation to a designated charity of their choice.
