I was honored to be asked to do a video expert interview for iBlog Magazine. Just honored.
I absolutely love what they are creating and I think it’s going to be a game-changer for the blogging community to have an actual hard copy magazine and a wonderful and informative destination to go to online.
I have forever been a fan and friend of the amazing Sami Cone, so when she Skyped me for the interview, I loved feeling so comfortable with her. Not to mention, I loved being able to dive in – really DIVE IN – to the questions about blogging as a business. It’s my passion, helping other moms find a way to create a business online with their blogs and social media channels, so I loved being part of this and sharing what I know.
Here is an excerpt from the article Sami wrote, alone with a link to the full post and interview!
What started as a way to communicate and engage with other moms online back in 2005 has now turned into a full-time profession for Vera Sweeney, Co-Founder of MomGenerations.com. But this Rhode Island girl with the “Just do it” mentality didn’t stop at the online world…
In 2010, she teamed up with fellow blogger Vera Sweeney to create the Getting Gorgeous events in an attempt to harness and celebrate the power that exists when bloggers get together offline.
And celebrate she did.
Audrey, who follows no set business model and likes to ‘change things up’ every six months, harnessed that entrepreneurial spirit and tough skin to become her household’s primary breadwinner in 2011, just as the economy was headed south.
