How to Start a Spring Garden

How to Start a Spring Garden

Spring has sprung at the McClelland household!

It’s not the warmer weather.
It’s not the fact that kids are biking up and down my street.
It’s not because baseball season has kicked off.

It’s because my husband has started his spring garden!

Oh, yes… if you know anything about me, you know my husband gardens. Well, in all honesty – we call is farming around here. 🙂

Spring Gardens are popping up everywhere right now. They are such a wonderful spring activity to do with your family. My husband gets us all involved and we all feel committed to our garden… and then when it starts to give us some delish veggies, we’re ALL in love with it!!

Even though we’re into May… it’s not too late to get going on a spring garden, there’s just some things you need to be aware of for it.

Recap:
1) Make sure you have a designated space for your garden
2) Make sure you have cold-tolerant vegetables (broccoli, cawliflower, asparagus, strawberries, etc)
3) Make sure you have the proper soil (my husband’s suggestions are great!)
4) Make sure you water the vegetables consistently
