We’re lucky enough to live on the Maine coast, near Acadia National Park. It is beautiful here, and I’d love to use this camera to capture some of that beauty. I’d even use it in my own yard, to photograph the birds and wildlife that visit here.

Honestly, I haven’t seen my parents in about 5 years. Because of work and finances, it has been nearly impossible to do more than “see” them via Skype or talk to them. Well, I finally asked my boss to allow me to take a week off (6/1-7)so I could go there before the unthinkable happens to my mom. My boss actually said yes and even is giving me a trip allowance (Like a bonus) to go and not worry about gas nor missing work. 🙂 So, I would love to be able to take pictures with them and be able to cherish them forever. My city (St. Louis) is celebrating their 250th birthday by installing fiberglass birthday cakes at various locations of historical/social importance in the region. They are encouraging folks to spend some time playing “tourist” in their own town, and making an adventure out of collecting as many photos of themselves with cakes as they can.
