Welcome to my first installment of Getting Gorgeous at Home.
Vera Sweeney and I created Getting Gorgeous Events 4 years ago to help inspire mom bloggers to pamper themselves and truly appreciate some gorgeous things in life. Through our events, we’ve brought together different brands for bloggers to meet that we love and think are truly exceptional. We’ve felt that what these brands and companies do is inspire, pamper, bring happiness and laughter and also bring a fashionable flair to life.
As we’ve evolved from our 1st event in NYC in 2010, so has our Getting Gorgeous brand.
We’re not just about fashion. We’re not just about beauty. We’re about all of it for moms. We’re about the life inside the home and outside the home. A “gorgeous” lifestyle isn’t about living in a gigantic mansion with a staff of 40 with an unlimited budget. A gorgeous lifestyle is about being true to you and truly enjoying and loving your life – through every aspect of it. We’re moms, we know that life gets busy and hectic and crazy… but it’s this common bond that we all have that make us truly all understand and get each other. We’re excited to share with you some of our favorite things in our lives and help us all create our own version of a gorgeous life.
Each day we’re going to bring to you a different extension of our Getting Gorgeous brand.
Today is all about the home.
My office is my work mecca.
It’s MY space.
It’s where everything happens – conference calls, writing, reading, strategizing, planning, filming – everything.
It’s also the space where I like to go and just BE. I like to be inspired and feel motivated in my office. It’s important for me to make sure my office is a place I look forward to going to. I make sure everything that goes into my office is something that will bring me joy and happiness. It’s all about inspiration for me.
I’m always looking for items to bring into my office space or ideas to start in my office. I scour Pinterest and Etsy for awesome and cool and unique items. There are so many amazing and incredible things, but I definitely know the kinds of stuff that I love and that I usually gravitate towards.
Check out with Vera posted today! I’m in love with her taste for her kitchen decor!
