Documents are a HUGE part of everything I do in my work life. Google documents literally help run my business/family – from Twitter scripts to invoices to notes to-do lists to running lists for the family – documents are a bug part of what I do (and need).

When I’m creating or editing my documents I have to have my laptop with me because I can’t access them the same way from my phone. It’s just too difficult. Not to mention, when I need to start a new document, it’s borderline impossible for me. It’s just to tough to do via iPhone. I’m telling you – almost every single day – I start a new document. For me, it’s a great way to start organized and keep track as to what I have going on with everything.

So how can this be easier for me when I’m on-the-go?

Well… enter hopTo app for the iPad.

It is… in a word… perfection.

HopTo is a free iPad app that lets you view, edit, and create Word and Excel documents/spreadsheets and view PowerPoint presentations. You can do all this RIGHT from your iPad. It’s amazing. You can also easily access files and documents from Dropbox, Box, and Google Drive.

Just like that I was able to access everything I have in my Drive… easy as can be!

When you’re in your doc, you have the toolbar at the bottom to help you and – of course – your full keyboard. You have the luxury of working away on your iPad on all of your docs… and it’s just as seamless as if you’re still connected right to your laptop or PC. I found it very easy to use and navigate this weekend while I was working when I was out and about with my 4 sons. In all honesty, it was great not toting around my heavy laptop. I could do everything I needed to work on right from my iPad and it was great. I was able to edit 2 documents from upcoming Twitter parties and create my weekly invoices. It was easy as can be!

And just so you know, it’s super easy to be able to search and find all the documents you’re looking for… I love how the hopTo app really is just SO user-friendly.
