This weekend my oldest son William will be competing in the New England Swimming Championships for 12 and unders in Vermont. This is the kind of meet you train all season for, so it’s a big deal for him. My husband and I are excited to see how he does… the kid lives for swimming.

This morning for Throwback Thursday, I went back into our old photos and found this little gem.

William when he was 9 months old. I was 6 months pregnant with Alex. This was William’s 1st Swimming Lesson! We were living in NYC at the time and this is one of the rare times in William’s life when he was an “only child.”

I love this photo because it really was a beautiful moment for me. I was a swimmer growing up and all I ever dreamed was that my children would know HOW to swim. I love that my boys have really taken to it and want to compete.

Good luck to my William this weekend in Vermont!

My Alex and Ben will be competing tomorrow night at our YMCA Championships, too! I can’t wait to see how everyone does!

And for the record, I’m NERVOUS as can be for them!
