I’m a pretty good cook – not the best, but certainly not the worst. Over the four years I’ve been with my husband, Brian, I’ve learned to like cooking a lot more than I used to. A big part of it is knowing that when I cook us healthy meals, I’m bringing something to the table – literally and figuratively.

Brian works so hard in his landscaping/construction business, and I love having something cooking when he gets home from work. I know I’m nourishing both of us after a long day, and for me, there’s something really fulfilling about that. I also like knowing exactly what ingredients I’m using. We both like to eat healthy meals, made with as many all-natural ingredients as possible, and it’s easier to do this when I’m doing the cooking for us.

Since getting pregnant, though, I’ve lost a little bit of my mojo in the kitchen. I’ve felt pretty nauseous throughout most of the last 17 weeks, and food aversions have prevented me from cooking some of our favorite meals. So finding ways to bring healthy, nourishing meals to the table that satisfy both me and Brian has been a bit of a challenge.

Recently I’d been seeing a lot of commercials for Lean Cuisine Honestly Good Frozen Meals, and they intrigued me. I thought it would be great to have some go-to entrees in our freezer for nights when I wanted to serve healthy meals, but was short on time or just didn’t feel up to making a big production in the kitchen. And I really liked the fact that these meals are made with all-natural ingredients that I can actually pronounce!

I picked up some Lean Cuisine Honestly Good Frozen Meals on a trip to Walmart this week and wanted to try them right away.

I had the chance to serve them for dinner on an evening when I had done a lot of running around earlier, and hadn’t had time to prepare a time-consuming meal. I still wanted to make it a special dinner at home, though, so I set the table nicely (cloth napkins and all!) and told Brian to choose his dinner between the Lean Cuisine Honestly Good Frozen Meals that were in the freezer.

He decided on Honey Citrus Chicken, and I opted for Pomegranate Chicken.

The directions were right on the back of the package, and preparing the dinner was as easy as one, two, three… four. 🙂

I just opened the packaging (these frozen meals looked delicious even before I cooked them)…

… thawed the enclosed sauces while I microwaved the entrees, then poured the sauces over their respective entrees, microwaved them a bit more, and voilà! Who says frozen meals can’t have nice presentation!?

Brian and I both agreed that these were the best frozen meals we have ever tasted. Brian’s exact words were, “This is some good chicken!”

The chicken was tender and tasty, and I liked the fact that our dinners included vegetables and delicious whole grains along with the chicken, making them well-rounded healthy entrees.

I’m glad I bought a bunch of these Lean Cuisine Honestly Good frozen meals because I know I will be using them for dinner for me and Brian a lot in the future!
