Daily Diary: Great Grandma and her Great Granddaughter

Yesterday my whole family gathered at my parents house for a cookout.

My grandma was there.
My Godmother was there.
My brothers and sister were there (with their families).
My parents where there — hosting!

It was a REALLY fun day. You know when you go somewhere at 1:30 and leave at 8:30PM, it was a heck of a good time.

One thing I love doing at family gatherings is documenting it. I love being able to look back and see how much everyone has grown and changed. I see my nieces now, who are taller than me, and I often think… WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?

Well… unfortunately, my iPhone fell in water towards the end of June. Every time I use it I remind myself why I haven’t gone yet to replace it. Believe me, it’s on my to-do list! ALl my photos lately have had this horrible fog on them because the lens is just so scratched.

But yesterday… I happened to catch one photo of my grandmother and my daughter that came out crystal clear and beautiful.

My grandma held Victoria yesterday for a couple of hours. She was so content in my grandma’s arms that I just didn’t want to disturb her. My grandma was in HEAVEN holding her. She felt so special having Victoria curled up in her arms and she felt very helpful, which warmed my heart.

It was a beautiful moment to see.

One that I will treasure and cherish.
