I have always loved the American Girl brand.

I’ll never forget my younger cousins going absolutely ga-ga over American Girl when they first came out, and then seeing my nieces love them… it’s been an amazing thing to see. What I loved the most was the girl empowerment that came from the brand. I loved how a little girl could learn and become inspired from the stories from each doll. It was magnificent.

I’ll never forget seeing my nieces eyes light up one Christmas when they were about 6 years old when “Santa” brought each of them an American Girl doll. And then from there throughout the years they would take special trips to NYC to the American Girl doll store. It was very cool to see.

I couldn’t wait for that to be me… someday. 🙂

For 8 1/2 years I’ve been a mom to all boys, I was never able to buy a baby doll. It was just one of those things I learned to accept and just sort of roll with. When we would head to the toy store or do Christmas or Birthday lists, it was all about cars, video games, sports equipment, dinos, etc.

Well… after having 4 boys in a row, I got a little girl 6 weeks ago.

And you know what one of the cool things is? I now get to experience all these new experiences with her. I can’t wait to introduce her to the American Girl brand and share stories with her and watch her play.

When I saw that American Girl has debuted their newly enhanced Bitty Baby line of 15-inch dolls, outfits and accessories… I knew this time around I’d be one of those mom’s waiting in line for one. 🙂 The Bitty Baby® and Bitty Twins® lines are geared for younger girls ages 3 to 6. These dolls are soft and huggable and encourage the classic family play narrative. American Girl has 11 different options, all with new skin tones and hair- and eye-color combinations, plus beautifully illustrated picture books filled with heartwarming adventures. The Bitty Baby books are fantastic for sharing mommy and me reading time.

I can’t say enough about how excited I am over this new launch.

Not to mention… when the package came with their new book in it called, Bitty Baby and Me by Kirby Larson and Sue Cornelison… the little baby looks just like my Victoria and the outside of the package said, “It’s a girl!” It made me smile.

I can finally say… my girl will be an American Girl lover. 🙂
