You Know You’ve Got a Good Man When…
When you’re in the late stages of pregnancy, you start to need a little help from the people around you. This beautiful growing belly
Getting up from the couch – you need some assistance.
Reaching for a glass in high cabinets – you need some assistance.
Tying sneakers – you need some assistance.
But there’s also somethings that REALLY require additional help and I have to tell you, you need someone really special to help you out. That was me this morning. I was in the shower about to shave my legs and realized I can’t reach from my knee to my ankle anymore. I’ve been living with overgrown leg hair for a couple of weeks now and it just has totally grossed me out… so I did what any woman would do… I called my husband!
I could tell he had that “what are you talking about face on,” but he didn’t let on that he didn’t want to do it. He just said, “OK.” And I was in love with him more than ever!
So Matt shaved my lower legs.
And just like that I felt like a woman again. 🙂
back in the good ole days hubs was at national guard training for several weeks at about the stage preggers you are. I didn’t want to slip in the tub, so I made use of our walk in shower. I believe it or not, the night before I went into labor was in said shower leaned against the sidewall with my leg propped as far up as I could get it to shave those legs. I could not fathom going into labor (which I was imminent according to birth date chart) and having hairy legs. Oh yes it was comical, but I DID achieve the nicely shaved legs.
So glad you have your wonderful husband there with you and that he’s such a prince he’d take care of that for you!
Great stories, Audrey and Deb! It’s been over a decade since I was pregnant and I can’t remember if I was clean-shaven. I like to think I was…but I was so tired and forgetful at the end, I most likely wasn’t. 😛
Good to hear you’re feeling well, Audrey!
A good man indeed! My husband had to do that a couple of times when I was pregnant. The things our wonderful men will do for us…. LOVE!
