Book Review: Raising Digital Families For Dummies by Amy Lupold Bair

I have loved being a blogger since the day I started to blog.

There hasn’t been ONE DAY throughout my mom blogging life where I haven’t felt lucky to be part of this amazing and inspirational community of moms. One of the “perks” of being a mom blogger is being able to meet other moms throughout the blogsphere that you just connect with and forge strong friendships and bonds with, it’s a beautiful thing.

Amy Lupold Bair is one of those blogging mom’s that I just adore.

I met Amy back in 2009 (IRL) while attending Blissdom in Nashville, TN. I thought she was smart, witty and just beyond kind. This is why I remember Amy so well during that trip, a HUGE snow storm had hit DC at the time, and she was literally stuck in Nashville while her family weathered the storm without her. From there on out, we just struck up an online friendship. I watched Amy’s career take off through Resourceful Mom and her uber-successful Twitter Party business. I was able to join Amy on many business trips for various companies and brands and connect more and more in person. And then… back in 2011, we had our cross country trip together with Jill Smokler (from Scary Mommy). I laugh when I write this because we literally DID have a cross country trip together. We were all flying back east from BlogHer San Diego and happened to be on the same flight. We were flying Southwest, so we were able to sit anywhere. We all saved seats for each other and got to sit with each other where we LITERALLY talked for 5 1/2 hours straight. It was so much fun and so relaxing. These 2 ladies will always have a special place in my heart after that airplane trip! 🙂

So why the Amy gush?

Well… Amy’s book – Raising Digital Families For Dummies – is OUT!!

I couldn’t be more proud or more excited for my friend. She is such a hard worker and so driven and dedicated to our digital community, and I just am ecstatic for her that she’s able to share her advice and tips through a BOOK with the world!!!!!!

Amy is a force in the digital world. She knows the in’s and the out’s like nobody’s business! I love that she is bringing her knowledge and expertise to the world through Raising Digital Families For Dummies.

I’m raising a digital family right now, and I couldn’t wait to sink my teeth into the book because it’s so important for moms and dads to be armed with this information – especially in this day and age.
