Daily Diary: Cat Scan Results for Matt!

I’ve been dreading March 12th for months.

Matt made an appointment for his regular-every-6-month cat scan about 3 months ago. For anyone who has ever lived through the cat scan check-ups with a loved one or for themselves, it’s a brutal day. All last night I was sick to my stomach and then I woke up this morning at 5:30AM and just couldn’t get back to sleep. Matt left at 6AM for the Boston trek all the way to Dana Farber, my phone was glued to my side throughout the whole morning until I heard from him.

Matt had a clear scan this past August, but to be honest with you… with each passing month, I always get a little scared when I stop to think about it. Matt is my rock. Matt is my everything. All I want to do is protect this man.

As I was waiting for 10:30AM to roll around (when I knew he would get his results)… I felt paralyzed. I just couldn’t concentrate on anything.

And then I got the text… CLEAR SCAN.

THANK YOU JESUS!

A weight was lifted and I just felt like I could conquer the world.

I know our next one is in August, and I’ll be nervous then, too… but right now I’m embracing today’s news and celebrating with my man!!!!!!!!!!
