Surprise Gender Reveal for the 4 Boys… It’s A… !

When we told the boys in December that we were going to have a baby in July, the first thing they asked was… “Do you know what it’s going to be!?”

Truthfully, I didn’t want to know.

I’ve known with all of the boys, and really was thinking it would be cool to have a true surprise!

Then my husband started working on me… “Wouldn’t it be easier if we knew ahead of time?” “Wouldn’t it be nice to plan the room?” “Wouldn’t it be nice to have the boys know?”

OK. OK. I caved.

We went this morning for our 18-20 week sonogram. I was anxious for the appointment, we hadn’t seen the baby since our 7 week sonogram and I was really excited to be there and hope everything looked healthy and well.

After the sonographer went through the top 1/2 of the body scan, she said, “So do you want to find out today what you’re having?”

I looked at my husband and said, “Yes… we do.”

She started to stop here and there, and then my husband said… “It’s a girl!”

I looked at him like he was nuts! Come on… a GIRL?

And then the sonographer said, “Yup! It’s a GIRL!”

I can’t put into the words the feelings that rushed through my body… shock, surprise, excitement. I was speechless and just started to cry. A girl… after my 4 beautiful sons, we’re having a baby girl!

I couldn’t wait to tell the BOYS!!! So we thought we’d have dome fun with them…

Yup… a GIRL!!!!!
