Audrey’s Notes from Fall 2013 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: Rebecca Minkoff

Audrey’s Notes from Fall 2013 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: Rebecca Minkoff

I had the AMAZING opportunity to meet and interview the one-and-only Rebecca Minkoff this past September during her Spring 2013 Runway Collection Show. She was very professional and business-like, but also excited to talk about the Spring 2013 Collection. It was kind of cool seeing her a little guarded about her Collection, but then when I asked her about style for moms, she came alive to me… all of a sudden, she smiled and shared with me her version of staying chic, but also comfortable.

It was a nice moment.

I was anxious to see her Fall 2013 Collection. I was hoping for some color pops and really wanted to see if she brought patterns and florals into her Collection, too.

I was delighted to see the final product!

There were “4” trends that stood out to me from Rebecca Minkoff…

1. Patterns are all the RAGE for Rebecca Minkoff, especially mixing different patterns together.

2. Lots of separate pieces that you can easily mix and match.

3. LOVING her pops of color for her dresses.

4. Almost superhero-ish with the graphic tees, mixed with professional looks.

OBSESSING over these 2 looks with their oversized, ballooned shoulders…

My feelings on Rebecca Minkoff’s show…

I love how she is able to take her Collection and make it subtle, yet sexy at the same time. She has fun with color and patterns which make her looks pop off the runway. I’m a huge fan of her full Fall 2013 Collection, I think it’s wearable for many different women… different shapes and different sizes, and I personally love that about it!
