Shoe Essentials: 6 Heels that are WORTH Owning (or at least one of them!)

When it comes to shoes, I’m always asked “What are the best shoes to own?”

It’s tough to give every woman the same answer because everyone’s preferences and styles and tastes differ. Not every shoe is created equal for every woman.

Some love flats. Some love heels. Some love clogs. Some love boots. Some love flip flops. Some (like me) love them all!

Today I want to talk heels. With the holidays around the corner, I want to give some really great heel advice and my fashion opinion.

So… if you’re a HEEL girl, you’ll like this post.

There are 6 HEELS that are WORTH owning. I’m not saying you need to own all of these, but here is a list and collection of my 6 favorite kinds of styles and fashions for women.

Here are my reasons behind the heels:

Black – This is a standard and classic heel that every woman should own. It’s just like a Little Black Dress, you need this pair in your closet for essential reasons. It’s tremendously versatile and is just a “go-to” heel.

Nude – Again, like the black heel, this is a standard and classic heel. I love the versatility of it. You can wear with jeans, black dress, capris, you name it! I love it.

Printed – It doesn’t matter what print is – leopard, polka dots, zebra, stripes, etc – it’s just important to have a printed and “fun” heel in your closet, a “stand-out” shoe. I love a printed shoe because it’s perfect to wear with basic outfits to add a bit of fashion fun. Imagine the pair above with a pair of jeans and a white tee… takes the outfit from basic to chic.

Red – It’s not a pair you’ll wear all the time, but it’s a safe and good pair to have in your closet. You can mix up a little black dress with a pair of red heels to add some va-va-voom! It’s such a pretty color and perfect for the holidays.

Strappy – I’m a lover of a strappy heel because it gives a whole different look to a basic heel. I love the sexiness and the femininity of a strappy heel. Again, perfect to wear throughout the year.

BOLD/FUN – Pink, Orange, Yellow, Glitter… you name it, every woman should have a fun pair of heels in her closet. For me it’s a pair of bright yellow heels I bought while living in NYC. I maybe wear them 2 or 3 times a year, but they’re bright and fabulous! I have a lot of fun in them!
