Neighborhood Toy Store Day on Saturday, November 10, 2012

I’m very excited to spread the word about the 3rd annual Neighborhood Toy Store Day, which will take place on Saturday, November 10, 2012. This awesome event will help kick off the holiday shopping season and introduce families to the fun of shopping locally and help to celebrate each toy store’s commitment to the community.

I will be at my favorite local toy store in Warwick, RI called Learn All About It Toys.

I recently got my weekly email from them which outlined all the fun activities and events going on throughout the 10th!

The best part is that all participating stores will host local in-store events for families such
as face painting, craft projects, live performances and special discounts.

I can’t stress just how important it is to shop locally this holiday season. Support the stores in your community and be a local advocate for inspiring and encouraging others to do the same. When you shop local, you’re helping to foster a sense of community and benefit in economic stability, community development, diverse product selection and fabulous customer service. There’s a sense of pride walking into a local toy store and knowing the owner(s) by name and knowing that everything in their store has been hand-selected by them. It’s a beautiful and personal thing.

Make sure you do your part locally on Saturday, November 10th for Neighborhood Toy Store Day.
