My Birthday In Photos

I had an incredible 32nd birthday. I’m so glad that it was on a Sunday because it gave me the whole weekend to celebrate!

On Friday night Brian and I went to watch one of our nieces in her school’s performance of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. It was an incredible show and we were so proud of her!

On Saturday I popped over to the first birthday party for the son of one of my oldest friends. He is such a cutie! I can’t believe he is already a year old. I could only stay at the party for a short time, though, because my friend Jackie and I had an appointment to get our hair, makeup and nails done at LuniacGlamour in East Greenwich, RI!

LuniacGlamour is a girl’s dream… in addition to getting a ton of beauty services done, you can shop for jewels, clothing, hair adornments, accessories, bags and bridal pieces all by local Rhode Island designers. Jackie and I both LOVED our “glamovers” and we each left with a new pair of earrings!

After that we had an awesome dinner at The Melting Pot at Providence Place Mall. For a birthday surprise, Jackie had a bottle of Pinot Grigio and a box of chocolate covered strawberries waiting at our table upon our arrival. Is she an awesome friend or what?

YUM!

The next day was my actual birthday, and it was such a special day right from the moment I woke up. Brian had filled our family room with streamers and balloons, and he told me I could open my gifts on one condition: that I would wear the “Birthday Girl” pin he gave me for the entire day. 🙂

I agreed to, of course (I wanted my presents!), so I opened my gifts – a new phone charger for the car (mine had stopped working), a gift card to Barnes & Noble and a beautiful framed photo of us and our doggies – and then Brian made me a delicious French toast breakfast. The doggies even got in on the birthday celebration by wearing their party hats for breakfast.

My mother-in-law and I happen to share a birthday, so for lunch, Brian and I went out with her to celebrate. We had a really nice meal at the new Fat Belly’s Pub in Warren, RI. We were full after that, so we went back to our house and hung out for awhile (I could have done some housework, but… it was my birthday) before my parents picked us up for my birthday dinner at India restaurant in Providence. When I lived in Providence during college it was one of my favorite places to eat, but I hadn’t been in awhile and I figured it would be a fun place to go for my birthday. And it was!

When we got home we capped off the day with my favorite birthday treat – a Carvel ice cream cake.

I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. 🙂
