Daily Diary: 9th Year in a ROW for ROCKETTES in NYC

Matt and I first went to the Rockettes back in 2002. We had gotten tickets through work and made a date night out of it. We had the BEST time ever! It was absolutely amazing. I remember leaving and calling my mother and telling her that she needed to get tickets to see the show, I knew she would fall in love with it.

The next year my parents surprised Matt and I with tickets for the show with them. All 4 of us went together and loved it! It was… spectacular!

So we went again the next year. And then again the next year. And then again the next year. And then again the next year. And so on and so on and so on all the way till yesterday, our 2012 show!

My parents changed the tradition up a bit in 2004… they bought tickets for the whole family and all the grandkids. And they have continued this tradition ever since!

It was really cool going yesterday with 4 “older” boys who all sit on their own and enjoy the show. I remember going when they were all babies. Alex in particular, I remember having to stand in the back with him because he was crying during the show. It was truly a full circle moment yesterday to see them ALL sitting there and enjoying themselves.

It was a beautiful day with my kids.

And most important, it was a beautiful day with my WHOLE FAMILY.
