Growing up I was OBSESSED with my Barbie dolls. Obsessed.
Fortunately for me, they used to be kept in bins under my bed in my room, so I was able to play with them whenever I wanted to! Saturday afternoons for years was spent playing with my Barbie dolls, it was the best thing in the world. My little sister and I would create houses and stores and restaurants and everything with our Barbie dolls, it was so much fun! We probably had about 50 of them, no joke.
As I’ve gotten older, and become a mother to 4 little boys, I’ve LOVED seeing Barbie still be front and center.
She’s still that girl that little girls love to play with, and I love that. I love that even though time has passed, so much time… she’s still the coolest chick around. The beauty of Barbie is that she has evolved with the time, she’s still this strong, independent woman… but she’s also everything, to everyone, and I love that.
