I have used Mary Kay makeup for a few years now, after being introduced to it by a friend who is also an Independent Beauty Consultant, so I was very excited to have the opportunity to review the products they are showing to create their 2012 fall trend! As expected, I love it. The colors are beautiful (I tend to lean toward warm colors, which are perfect for fall) and, as always, the makeup looks great on and is long-lasting. When I put my Mary Kay makeup on in the morning, I know I’m not going to have to re-apply during the day. Every time I sneak a peek in a mirror, I know I’m going to still have the same glow I had when I applied it in the morning. Another thing I love about Mary Kay makeup is that I don’t have to put on a lot to feel like I have that extra bit of confidence that wearing makeup gives me. If I’m going to a special event, I can put a little extra on, but day-to-day, using just a little on my eyes, cheeks and lips totally perks me up.

Mary Kay’s fall trend is “Hollywood Mystique” – Iconic Glamour Meets Femme Fatale Fashion. Rawr! I’ve always been a fan of neutral shades for my eyes because they make my blue eyes really pop. So, Mary Kay’s neutral shades for my eyes are definitely my #1 beauty must-have for fall. In addition, I always love to keep my summer glow going as long as I can, so self-tanner also makes my list. Nothing too drastic – just something to remind me of the warm summer sun when I have to bundle up with a hat and a scarf. My skin tends to dry out a lot when the air gets chillier, too, so a fab moisturizer is important to have on hand in the fall to keep my skin hydrated. And I can’t forget my nails! I tend to go with darker shades in the fall, rather than my summer red shades. A dark purple is usually my go-to color for fall. And I think this fall it will add to my “Hollywood Mystique” Mary Kay look. 😉
