I’ve always loved September.
Even when I was a girl in grade school, September to me was one of my most favorite month’s.
I knew school would be starting. I knew Fall would be coming soon. I knew I’d get to wear my cozy sweaters and boots. I just loved the smell in the air when September rolled around.
It’s funny, not much has changed in all these years. Here I am, 34 years old… still loving the welcoming embrace of September.
August had high highs and low lows for me…
My husband got cleared in August with a clean cat scan (BEST NEWS EVER!). My Getting Gorgeous Event with my best friend and business partner Vera Sweeney went off successfully. I got to have a fabulous vacation away with my family in Cape Cod and New York City. It was wonderful.
The low for me was suffering my miscarriage. It was horrible and terrible and just something that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. I was so excited to be pregnant with my 5th baby, and to have something go wrong… it was tough for me.
When August ended… I have to be honest, I was OK with it.
As a matter of fact, I spent the night of August 31st gazing and making wishes on the Blue Moon…
… it was a beautiful moon and it just looked incredible. It was a wonderful way to end August and welcome in September.
It felt good to wake up on September 1st and have it be a new month, a new beginning.
So… as September is ticking away, I’m ready to embrace.
Bring it on.
I love seeing my sons so excited for school.
I love seeing the leaves beginning to turn.
I love feeling the chill in the air.
I love it ALL!
I love it.
So… welcome September!
I’ve been waiting for you.
