My son Alexander has been climbing things since he learned to walk.

No joke.

At 3 years old he taught himself out to shimmy up our walls in our kitchen/living room, it was the craziest thing in the world.

At 4 years old my husband installed a pull-up bar in our kitchen and Alex taught himself out to crawl up and swing and do pull-ups.

Needless to say, we’re used to his upper body strength.

My husband always used to joke that he belongs at Muscle Beach in Venice Beach, CA… so it’s always been this “mystical” place. When we were in L.A. a couple of weeks ago, Alex BEGGED us to check out Muscle Beach. It’s where he desperately wanted to go.

So we went.

And Alex was in HEAVEN.

It was like coming home for him, it was so funny to see his eyes light up with the amazing-ness of Muscle beach!

He took to it like a fish to water…
